WHAT HAPPENS IF A NEW PATIENT IS ADMITTED TO MY FACILITY AFTER THE REGULAR ABSENTEE DEADLINE?

In situations when the patient's arrival to a SNF, LTAC, or rehab occurs between the regular absentee voting deadline and Election Day, they may have already missed the day when all of the other nursing home residents voted in that facility, and now will not be able to vote in person on Election Day.

 

Emergency absentee voting can help these patients vote after the regular absentee voting deadline.
